AVP Hermosa 2023 has come and gone. Congratulations to all of the athletes that competed on both the men’s and women’s brackets. What a weekend of seriously great competition all around. Since we do make every effort to capture and cover beach volleyball in Southern California, we made sure to show up to Hermosa Beach.
So many of the superstars in the women’s beach volleyball talent pool, are from the South Bay area. These are cities like Torrance, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and nearby cities. It was a great time on the sidelines watching the competition. If you were not there, you missed out!

Including, the duo that would go on to win it all, Sarah Schermerhorn and Corinne Quiggle.

These were taken July 7th, 2023 on Friday.
We’ll work hard to get more of this matchup, posted here on our site soon. In the meantime, we’re working on a “less is more” strategy if you will.
Keep in mind, we are very NEW to beach volleyball photo journalism.
While we do want to give everyone a larger view of what’s happening in these beach volleyball matches, feedback is always welcome. Some of the feedback that’s come in already, lets us know more of what people actually want to see. Timing those showdowns at the net much better. This weekend at the AVP tour in Hermosa, may be some of the best photos we’ve taken so far!
