Before season 2016/17, Lukas Kampa (Germany) & Salvador Hidalgo Oliva (Cuba) transferred to Jastrzębski Węgiel. They made speedy and splendid combination plays such as side quick, pipe, tandem and second ball attack etc. On the strength of the German duo's highly active performances, Jastrzębski Węgiel was ranked in fourth place after the first half of Plusliga 2016/17.
