Simone Parodi (born 16 June 1986 in Sanremo) is an Italian volleyball player. He plays as wing-spiker for Lube Banca Macerata since 2011, with which he won the Italian Serie A title in 2012. Macerata and Simone Parodi continued the cooperation until 2014/2015. "I'm very happy" - said Simone Parodi. "I feel Macerata like a second home, since in these two years I have already spent I'm settled very well in the city and made good relationship with the fans. There is also a nice project for the next two seasons, and I am proud to be a part of it. The team will be very competitive as always, the goal is still to get to the top in Serie A and in Europe". Simone Parodi has already won one Scudetto and a Super Cup Italy.

He is still not back after his injury!! The Simone Parodi we see in this video isn't the Parodi we see on the field nowadays. So sad!! :(

For me he is the stongest italian spiker at the moment! it's a pity for the bad knee injury during the match against Trentino! I hope he will recover soon!

Amazing player! Fefè De Giorgi call him "the veteran young" (=the old young) because he seems to have the experience of an elder player! He's also a very good receiver (quite rare for an Italian - good - spiker) The movie is really nice, even if I'd like to see also several serves=)

Michal, the Italians don't have young MB, opposites or setter playing in strong clubs except Leonardi (middle blocker) in Trento, but he is third choice

Great video and great song!! To me, Parodi is the best player of this new italian generation... Nightfox, thanks a lot for everything; no matter the language we speak, from what culture we come, here we have the chance to share our passion for volleyball... This is really great!!! He is on of those receivers who are in reception as good as in attack, finally not offensive/defensive receiver, also regular strong serve and good work in defense - the last one with great defense of Henno is one of the strongest weapon of Cuneo. Pity you didn't put his few nice attacks from second match with LB, but still great job and I love this song [even if someone used it before, doesn't matter for me;)].

And who does, apart from Brazil? The Italians still have guys like Parodi, Zaytsev, Maruotti or Savani (even though the last is not that young). When I hear polish comentators talking about Italian Volleyball collapse it makes my day.

Good job, but I think that music was in other movie. And nice player, Italy hasn't a lot of young players like Parodi... But it is not my problem :D
