UCLA took on Stanford in one of several matches, at the AVCA West Coast Qualifier held in Manhattan Beach. This is the conclusion of a Day 2 Match we featured here before. Xolani and Brooke would end up finishing 2nd overall in Hunstville, Alabama at the 2023 AVCA Fall Championships.
On this day, they battled Lexy Denaburg and Peri Brennan for 3 sets.
Hopefully you can tell there were several incredible plays made by all 4 of these athletes. This was a really fun one to watch, that easily could have gone either way. Not exaggerating when I say it was one of the more exciting matches I saw in 2023.

Lexy and Peri would finish this tournament with the #1 overall rank for the AVCA Championships, held a few weeks after this. Southern California also hosted the Relentless Surf City Challenge, out in Huntington Beach, which also sent a few pairs to that same AVCA Championship weekend in Alabama.
