As we get ready for the 2024 collegiate beach volleyball season, we’re going to continue to update the site with some of the very best from 2023. During the Long Beach Invitational which we were fortunate to cover, we caught Cal State Northridge in action against Utah. You can see some highlights from that weekend tournament that featured beach volleyball programs from Stetson, Texas, and was hosted by Long Beach State.
This was Friday, March 17, 2023 at Long Beach City College: CSUN vs Utah
CSUN would emerge with the victory, going 5-0 against Utah. The Utes went 11-23 overall in 2023. They would defeat Texas, but fell to LBSU & Stetson. We caught Utah’s beach volleyball program in the 2022 season, and they’re still a pretty new program. Each year they are getting better, watch out for them in 2024!
Cal State Northridge went 17-16 on their 2023 beach volleyball season. Also they went 2-0 for the day, in their only appearance at this 2 day tournament in Long Beach, CA.

Utah’s beach volleyball team put up a good fight. That’s a program to watch. I made the same call about the Texas beach volleyball program after seeing them in action this weekend.
