PIRATES SWEEP 2019 PARK CLASSIC
Park University went a perfect 3-0 at the 2019 Park Classic defeating Huston-Tillotson (Texas) in four sets, 25-23, 16-25, 25-18, 25-15, Benedictine (Kan.) in three sets, 25-23, 25-17, 25-23 and No. 11 Dordt in four, 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-16.
In the first match of the tournament, the Pirates were in a tussle with Huston-Tillotson, but the Pirate defense held the Rams to a .072 hitting percentage and collected 10.5 total team blocks.
The Pirate defense also allowed an opponent hitting percentage of .075 and Nada Meawad led the team in digs with 19.
In the finale match against No. 11 Dordt, Nada Meawad was impressive with 16 kills .
She had total 19 Kills, 21 Digs, 2 Block Assists and 1 Ace on the Tournament.
