After Ricardo's leaving of Brazilian national team 34 years old Marcelo Elgarten bacame first setter of Canarinhos. He was watching a play of his master: Ricardo Garcia for a several years. He was always second setter. He presented very well on Beijing. He was on the 2nd place in the ranking of best setters (Zagumny was top setter).
