It is the fourth European final for Trentino in five years and the seventh overall. Aaron Russell scored 13 points and registered 79% success rate in attack, playing for two sets only. After taking two sets, Angelo Lorenzetti made quite many changes to the starting six but the hosts remained focussed and secured a 3:1 win with the help of Gabriele Nelli and Davide Candellaro.
