Keizer and Meppelink beat Switzerland’s Tanja Hüberli and Nina Betschart 2-0 (21-16, 26-24) before a sell-out, raucous 3,000-strong crowd to claim the second European title in their careers. Keizer and Meppelink had achieved the same feat previously – both together with Marleen van Iersel – in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
